Default Need help with my headlight harness.

I just bought a used headlight harness for my 1998 Honda Civic EX coupe and the person said it was off a 1997 Honda Civic coupe.

All the plugs hook up fine except for on the drivers side where the two plugs are, one of them doesn't fit.

The first picture is the plug on the harness, and the second picture is the plug on the car.

Did I get the wrong harness or something?

Anyone want to take a look at their headlight harness real quick and tell me if I have the wrong harness?

Let me try to understand. You have the harness for both headlights but only the drivers side has a different plug?

Basically yeah. One end of the harness (passenger side) has one blue plug, and the other end of the harness (driver side) has one blue and one gray plug. The gray plug on the drivers side doesn't fit into the plug coming off my car.

And what I need to know is if the second picture is what that plug is supposed to look like on EK's.

Because when I got my car a lot of stuff was really rigged and I need to make sure the guy that had it before me didn't put a different plug on there.

The gray plug in these pictures is the one I am confused about.

are you talking about the wires going to the headlight itself? it should be a ground and a low and high beam, you may have to use your meter and find which wire is which in the car harness, find a correct plug, and solder it in

No its the blue and gray plugs that plug in on the drivers side right by the firewall and the fender.

if the harness has been messed with, it's probably time to get the wiring diagram and your meter and start tracing wires, once you know what each of those wires goes to, you can go from there to connect them properly, let me know the exact make model and year, and i'll try to pull it on shopkey, not sure if i can do it tonight but i''ll try

I think the problem might be that EX's headlight harness' are a little different so they have a different plug.
