Got a wire issue with Dual radiator fans.
I hooked up my new fans today and used the old OEM plug to the two fans. I spliced the to together and wired them to the plug. The fans won't turn on and I'm thinking I might need a bigger relay and also check to see if I have power drawing off the wires. I can't get the fans on, any ideas?
You did not say, so I will assume it is a 96 Integra.
First thing to check is for a ground on the black lead of the OEM rad fan harness.
Then check fuse 27 - 20A, [hot at all times] in engine bay fuse box, if it is good find the rad fan relay, [in engine bay fuse box] pull it and test the socket, there should be one terminal with power, turn ign. switch on and there should be a second terminal with power, if not, check fuse 17 - 7.5A, [hot in run] in under dash fuse box.
If you have two terminals with power reinstall the relay and find the ECT switch, unplug it and with the ign. switch on, jump the leads in the plug, [green and black leads], if rad fans turn on, replace ECT switch.
If rad fans do not turn on, leave plug jumped and test for power on the black/red lead at rad fan harness plug, if no power. replace rad fan relay, if there is power, check fans and your wiring to the fans from the OEM rad fan harness. 94
