hey what's up guys i have a 2000 civic dx and i want to replace my d16 with a b16a2 i am going to buy the swap for about 3,100 comes with:

• Complete Motor
- Block
- Intake Manifold
- Complete Head
- Sensors
- Exhaust Manifold
- Fuel Rail
- Injectors
- Distributor
- Throttle Body
- Alternator
- Starter
- Ignition Wires
- Headers

• OBD2 ECU

• 5-Speed Trany

• Intermediate shaft

• New shift linkage

• New drive shafts(pair)




what els will i need to buy for the swap and another thing is i wanted to keep a/c ! will my dx a/c system work with the b16? will i have to get it of an si or is there a aftermarket kit i can buy ????

 

Youll need Si A/C system.


Youre also going to need EM1 rear t bracket and EM1 block post mount for driver side.

All he needs is a crv or del sol vtec a/c bracket, and the compressor bolts right on!

That allows a d series compressor to mount to a b series block

oh yeah i almost forgot !!!! i heard i would also need a jumper harness from OBD2b to OBD2a ???

 

B16A2 is a 99-00 motor so it will be OBD2B, and your 2000 DX is OBD2B. You should be good. You'll need to manually wire up the vtec solenoid and the dizzy

3100 is expensive for that price. I hope there's a warranty in that 3100 some where... I got my 99 ITR motor for 3150

 

I don't see engine wiring harness in your list, was that just omitted? or are you not getting one with your swap?

 

Reuse your harness. Add wiring for VTEC and knock sensor. You'll also have to convert your 3 wire IACV to 2 wire. Extend your secondary O2 as well.

no still not done i was doing more reserch on prices and all and they guys at speed factory (my local tuning shop) said they would hook me up with a better price on the full swap and do the swap for me. im still trying to find out some pricing averages. Alot of my friend are telling me just to wait till i got about 4000 or 5000 bills so i can buy upgrade parts while the engine is out. oh yeah by the way i was gana order the swap from jsamotors.com do you guys know if its a reliable site??
