Dump tube and oil line contact.
when my dump tube was fabricated it was close to the oil return line, and now upon final installation it touches it slightly.. my dump tube is wrapped in exhaust wrap, and the oil line is rubber with reflective heat tape around it.... my question is will the heat from the dump tube melt my oil return line or will it be fine? if it will melt the rubber, can i just use a steel braided line instead?
come to find out its actually touching the downpipe, which as i sated is wrapped.. the line has reflective metal tape on it aswell.. any other input?
actually u stated it was the dump....now u say down...either way, that **** gets seriously hot - it will prolly heat the oil at least.. not really a good thing. Is the oil line in an actual heat sleeve like from Earls? Post a pic. I'd be trying to move something
upon final installation it cleared the dump, but contacts my downpipe.. it is wrapped in reflective tape... i ordered some stainless hose and am going to redo the line
