Default My 06 Tundra TSS: Murdered out

Today I picked up my truck from the body shop. While it was there I had the Waltrip grille painted, strip on the front bumper painted, mirrors painted, and rear bumper straightened out and painted. So I went out into the sticks and shot some new pictures (Nikon D60 18-55 stock lense). Leave some comments and feedback, I'd love to read it!

Mods are: AEM Brute Force intake - JBA headers - Magnaflow cat-back - PnP Unichip - Kazuma LSD - Daystar 2.5" w/ aal - 16" Konig Countersteer Offroad - Toyo Open Country A/T 305/70/16 - Total Chaos steering rack bushings - 6k HID's - black housing headlights, smoked corners - LED's - De-badged

ok, here goes.

Being that you dont have any kind of retrofit on your headlights combined with the fact that it's a big truck Id be willing to bet that a) the light distribution blows and b) you're blinding everyone else on the road. The half tinted headlights, not feeling it. It's an all or nothing effort with mods like that. I'd prefer stock, or amber corners. Tail lights, meh. Werent there some decent LED tail lights as an option for those trucks? Over all, the truck needs some more visual interest. It just looks like a lifted base tundra. Id suggest some bigger nerf bars, fender flares, maybe some kind of roof rails, and maybe your next set of tires should have white lettering. Also, looking into some nice offroad fogs.

The corner lights are tinted, it's not a half the headlight kinda thing but also the inside of the headlights were painted. There's not a real good way of tinting the corners unless I did it like the taillights.

Thanks. A) I'd love a retrofit headlight like it was goin outta style but I'm working on it, not made of $$$. B) The headlights are aimed lower so they don't blind people, I'm no rookie It works hella better than factory bulbs.

I don't need anymore visual interest other than what I have done already seeing as that's the look I wanted. It gets plenty of attention and not from the thugs who just want my truck more than I do. I don't need something drawing negative attention. I'm looking into some projector headlights and some fog lights though. Other than that all the other mods will be suspension.

Looks nice--very clean. I like that it doesnt have a bully bar or off-road lights, it keeps things nice and streamlined.

Yea it's not my style either. Glad you like it. Trying to keep it simple and clean.

No, I'm in agreement. Trucks with HID kits blind the hell out of me and **** me off. It helps if it's been realigned, but it doesn't eliminate the problem.

Otherwise it looks nice.

I don't think that's a requirement. As long as it's just completely black. I am a fan of the flat black though. I got a $3500 quote on a flat black complete wrap.... so yea, no!

I don't know if it's appropriate but I've made some changes to my truck over the last year and a half (not major), so here's what we have...

Icon ext. travel coilovers w/ Total Chaos upper control arms/Bilstein 5100's rear

Smoothed and painted mirrors

Flat/Gloss black TSS decals

Vinyl wrapped Sequoia clear corners

Chrome door trim removed/smoked step lights
