Icon2 Need help!!! 95 GS-R Swap into Auto 97 EK EX

So I'm writing today because my brother and I are going to swap a GS-R
engine into my cousins EK coupe. I am wondering what modifications need to
be made to his harness. His car is a 97 Civic EX. Unfortunately his car is
automatic. I have a complete 1995 Acura GS-R car that I will be removing the
engine from. Can I use that harness? I also have a 96 DX hatchback that is
manual. I plan on using the pedal assembly out of that car. Can I use that
harness modified?? What are my best options for the harness? Also, what
computer do I need to use and will I need a step-down/up sub-harness? Will I
need to change the distributor? I am looking for the most cost effective
option using the parts I have if possible. Thanks for the help.

You cannot use the Acura GS-R harness. It is a 2-piece design that is not compatible with the 96+ Civic's 1-piece design. You should be able to use the 96 DX hatch harness and add wires for knock, IAB, and VTEC. I'd use the P72 ECU from the Integra. You'll need a OBD2A-OBD1 step down harness for that to work.

Can anyone verify that I can use the DX harness or will I need a manual EX harness?? Any help on this wiring is appreciated.

You can use either the original automatic harness or the DX harness, you can't use the GS-R harness (i'd suggest you sell it in the marketplace on ebay since they're always in demand and hard to find) you will need to modify either harness in slightly different ways.
