but trying to get a hold of calvin to get me a ****in lisence is impossible.

I am now stranded and my car is undriveable, and I have an appointment tomorrow.

**** ectune, I am so pist off. If i knew calvin would run his business this way, I would have never bought this product.

the software is awsome, but its no good if I cant ever ****ing use it.

This is insanity,

I paid 200 dollars for a lisence and the owner of the product tells me to **** myself

 

That's pretty much the same answer I got from him when my eCtune wouldn't work anymore. He didn't actually tell me to go F#@k myself though. He gave me the "it's your computer, not my software" and left me hanging with software that still won't sync. Considering t was only after my license expired that the shyte hit the fan. Worked great before that. Also every other piece of tuning software I have works and updates online just fine.

Neptune Demon it is then! Not that it matters, Calvin already has his money, Now I have to go spend more....... Typical!

 

just wow....makes me even happier i have stuck with crome for myself.

damn im kinda glad i stuck with my crome pro... i just bought an ostrich and all that... ectune looks to be an awesome program but if you guys are having problems with calvin just like people were having problems with john cui with crome getting their license then really what is the point...

i almost bought ectune when i bought my ostrich but i remembered when ectune came out they were giving deals with people who had crome pro like a trade in deal but i emailed them and they said no its full price so i said screw it i got crome pro lol...

but i might honestly go with neptune well see when i turbo my b motor im not going to want crome anymore...

With Neptune you never have to worry about your license expiring.

 

I remember when everyone was debating ectune vs neptune rtp. I guess the debate is over which one to go with. Sorry u had bad luck I can only say Thanks Neptune for the great customer service!!

 

Sorry to hear that Calvin is treating his customers like this. I offered to get involved with eCtune to fix the product's bugs and run the support side of things, but even after saying he was definitely interested he just didn't get back to me. We never made it to negotiations. This wasn't all public knowledge, but I think it's time people know he's had multiple chances to fix these issues to help his customers out and just hasn't taken any initiative in doing so.

I was researching and trying to figure out how the licensing procedure works with ectune and even in that I was convinced to stay away.

 

The last time i delt with calvin i had the same results as u,I was pissed off and waiting for him.Then once i went on the ectune forums and complained about how long it takes for him to do his job,that same day i got a email from him with my new lic and a virus that was in the file that killed my hd.So if u do get something from him triple scan that Bi#$%.

Never had a problem with eCtune.. infact, its really easy to get ahold of calvin, if you properly label a email.."TUNER LICENSE" he recieve tons of emails a day as he does run a mutli million dollar company right now..

I ran into problems with using non-resistor plugs with the demon on ign cut.. as it was going huge electrical errors for me..and i went over to neptune for awhile.. but my car acted funny on neptune..

I like neptune, i like ectune, and i like crome.. point blank, i'm just more fond of eCtune's GUI..

the whole license going out of date, has been fixed as well...bugermass had alot of that fixed..

 

Neptune all the way, i have PM'd James at literally 2-3am about stupid "user error" issues, and within an hour always got a reply. even when its "user error" or lack of knowing what you are doing He has always been there to help.

i would NEVER use any other EMS again. check out the Neptune RTP forum, look at every thread created, he is usually one of the first ones to post a reply, and doesnt give up on a problem until its fixed.

even has a thread asking what the users want in the next update.... this man has to be busy, dont see how he ever eats or sleeps, but that is probably why you wont see anybody posting this type of thread about Neptune....

 

James is top notch at customer service...this is a very true statement.

I'm in the process with bugermass of trying to be able to handle the licensing situation for calvin to help with the customer service and what not.

 

Best thing I ever did was switch to neptune

 

you should not have to go out of yuor way to sell a product

 

Stupid question but does this only affect you if your a tuner and trying to purchase ectune or does it affect the customer who buys it from a good tuner my old car used ectune and I liked it and wanted to use it on my next build

 

Wow I am glad people mentioned neptune. I will look into that as I cannot hang my car on a string to a tuner online like that.
