the code 9 has something to do with the a/t speed pulser???

is that the VSS? and where do I locate this part on a 1991 acura integra automatic.

 

I believe the VSS is in the cluster, the speed pulser I believe is the cable "drive" on the top of transmission close to the starter motor but closer to the firewall, just fallow the speedo cable to it, someone will have to correct me if I'm wrong.

Does the speedometer work? 94

 

speedometer works just fine. just the light blinking.

 

so am I looking at replacing the cable or is it more in depth?

 

If speedo works, cable is fine.

A correction, the speed pulser is located on the transaxel just below the master brake cylinder.

To test it you will need a multimeter, [set to continuity or lowest ohms settng], jack the front of car off the ground, connect meter to the 2 leads in the plug and spin the front tires, meter should show continuity and no continuity as tire rotates. 94

 

okay thanks will give it ago in the morning when I get off work. If the test are fine what should I do next?
