Issues after soft top installed
I just installed a new soft top from accelerated supply on ebay. I can not wrap the second bow and have it closed flush. If I only wrap the first bow it will shut and latch flushly, with some wind noise at 75 mph plus. Will it stretch itself in the sun for me to wrap all of the bows?
There is no section for me to wrap the last bow. There is however a section where that bow is suppose to go but you can not stick it in there without unstitching it or tearing it off the glued sections.
I can't close the top if I wrap both bows. The top will point in a upward position when I switch the button to close all the way. I have to have someone push with great force to latch it, and even when I get it latched, I have a huge gap where I can see the through to the outside at an angle.
Also, when I went to pull of the rubber window seals to get the bracket off I notice that some sealant was used to get it to stick to either the top or the frame or something. I did a water leak down test and I'm having drips of water on my shoulder where the two rubber seals meet and also in the truck where the rain rail is.
I did not use any rivets on this project, So I'm assuming that the water is getting into the trunk from the rivet holes left exposed.
Has someone had the same issues as I have? How can I correct this?
