1. You can't just throw Stg2 cams in and tune it, gotta complete the valvetrain
2. If you've heard bad things about the LS-V's, it's because they weren't built properly

My $0.02, screw cams or an LS-V. If you want a little extra, go with a low boost application and a good tune.

i know that, i was going to do the whole valvetrain. if i went that route.

but ls-v would be sweet and i could always boost it later.

Look up the definition of unreliable in the dictionary, there is a pic of an LS-Vtec with a turbo attached to it.

Really depends on what you're looking to get out of the car.

Build the ls head w/ some nice cams, and boost that torquey bitch later on.

Friend just sold a ej1 w/ a bone stock b1 w/ cams on 15lbs=366whp&330wtq...22in slicks lent a 10.6@133mph...not full interior. Just to give you an idea and car was super reliable, was on 10lbs for a yr and 15lbs for another yr after that

Hey as long as it was good while it lasted man, new owners suck, most the time you see the car 6 months down the road at a stoplight smokin light a bia! or in the newspaper cut in half

yeah teenagers tend to be naive. The car was tuned on e-85, part of the reason the motor has been a reliable success so far, but i can totally picture the new owner being too lazy to plan ahead to get to a place that supplies e-85 and just settling for pump gas and going out and raping the **** out of the motor. lol
