Speed PHreak has. There was a big difference in his engine NA, as well as under boost. We all know LS cams suck, but they seem to suck for boost, too.
I'd do it right, and get the other half of your gains at the same time... lightly smooth your ports with a dremel, it helps how power fades after 6K. No need for an expensive p&p, you aren't trying to take off any material, just clean up the casting.

Be careful with the crower cams. They tend to break if not installed correctly.
and dont make the ports too smooth like straight polish . That can hurt your performance.
Id leave it up to the pro's.

I've seen good gains from the crower 402t and jg 1001 cams for the ls head. The LS head really lacks headflow and will make a lot more power with some headwork and a good set of cams. I've only seen and heard of crower cams breaking in vtec heads, they seem to be doing fine for non-vtec heads.

I have a worked LS head....with exception of cams for now. They can flow, but it takes a lot to do it right. I run +1mm Ferrea in/ex valves with a 5 angle job on the seats. Street port and polish with Portflow bronze guides left intact and not chopped off---if I had them cut it would be an all out race port, but its not good to do that for street duty. Bowl area has been smoothed out and valve area de-shrouded. Also running crower dual race springs and stock retainers for strength, reliability, and longevity. Head has also been deburred.
This head will probably be up for sale shortly if anyone is interested make me an offer in PM.
