i have a crx dx 89. and it happens alot, ill turn left and my door light will come on. i reach over and pull on the door slightly it shuts off. what could be the problem?

 

There is a small slide switch. It's probably dirty. Spray some wd40 in it and see if that fixes your issue.

 

He's correct, at least partially. Unscrew the slide portion off, should be only 1 screw. Then scrape off any crap that's on it, both frame and on the slide. Clean it up and then rescrew it back on. Repost if results don't work.


Edit: Or also, my problem was the slider had seen better days and the rubber **** was too thin to press up against the door to shut off the light no matter what. So I just taped some black electrical tape a couple times around the edge/tip to lengthen it.
