Default ticking and low oil pressure light

i made a few other post's but i thought this would be easier.. So i have and oil light that flickers at low rpm abd go's away at anything above 1200rpm.. Also the head seems to be ticking like valve's i heard im suppost to adjust them. Is it ticking because of the oil pressure? Its re-built d15b1 block and d15b7 head. i re-built block. Has new rod bearings, main bearings and rings. Could it be oil pressure switch or more than likley the oil pump screen? Praying its not the last on the list... OIL PUMP. Any help would be appreciated sorry for so many post.. thought id combine them...

it misfire's but i think thats because of timing. It runs amazing tho when u step on it. 95mph in 1/4 mile i dont know what she runs but i can keep up with a 14seccond 240sx. So i dont think its something to bad.. Maybe just clogged

HAHAHA people actually put oil in the washer fluid! Oh geez... ya iv been re-building engines long enough to know where oil go's so yea. I checked the pump it looked ok and when the valve cover was off i put all oil on the cam to get it all lubed up so im sure is got oil plus i check dip stick alot.. Its a habbit cuz it used to smoke and use a crap ton of oil before i did the rings. i cleaned the oil pump strainer thing before re-install.. Maybe the gasket thats go's between the strainer thing and the pump itself is bad cuz it forgot that there even was 1 till i was looking at price's... Ima try that cuz its cheapest.. and if that dont work ill replace pump, sensor and the strainer thing.. Thing is i have no money or job so its hard 2 do. If i had money id do it all anyways but idk.. Thanks for the reply.. Ima noob at something engine but i do know alot and deff know where oil go's but good suggestion for my friend he dont know where that stuff go's hahahaha

Yea i found the problem tho.. I used std size bearings and it needs 0.25mm bearings.. So i orderd them should be in next few days ticking noise is actually a knock just a quiet not bad 1. That would also cause low oil pressure. Plus it was over filled by half qt. Forgot i put oil in filter and so i put 4 qt's in and the half in filter. Problem solved Thanks tho man. Helped me get it :D

Yea just went trought the same thing on my gsr motor.my oil pressure light came on and my gauage was reading almost 0 pressure. i took the oil pan down and noticed it did not look clean how its supposed to be i then looked at the oil pick up tube and realinzed it was completeley obstructed. I didnt take and chanced. I inspected the bearings and seamed fine. Oil pump looked like it seized up. I put a new pump. cleaned the oil pan and and put it together now have perfect oil pressure. As for the noice def. a valve lash . mines did the same thing. after valve lash car sounds very quiet.

single cam d series only takes 3 and a half quarts of oil to fill without puttin oil in the filter, with stock oil pan

So i think im just gonna get the d15b7 block and put it on this new head and re-ring it then call it good. Tired of messin with this crankshaft. nowhere will turn it down here in hutchinson they all want 200bucks and well a new 1 is 200bucks so ill just swap it with a good crank from my friends honda

Well iv broke her in and now it go's 0-60mph in 7secconds flat i missed 2nd gear and ran 97mph in the 1/4 mile and beat a supercharged gtp it was stock but i was like And its amazing wish i had a tach tho lol. Its amazing no blue smoke except from the exhaust system from when it did smoke.. Only at high rpm its not doing it as bad now its just burning off all the old stuff! Its amazing id be happy with a 14 1/4 mile some day i hope

Yea you dont need to put oil in the filter people only do that with engines that the filter is vertical but on our engines its horizontal so starting dry isnt a problem.
