Default dei 530t questions/problems

i installed a 530t, with a python 1090 alarm, for both my windows(coupe). i have it wired so the windows roll up when the alarm is armed and i can roll them down with an aux channel on the alarm. the problem is the passenger window does not work at all. not with the remote or by the switch(driver or passenger switch with the ignition switch in the ON position). the driver window on the other hand works down with the alarm remote and works with the window switch correctly. also neither of them go up when i arm the alarm.
what could the problem be? the resistance setting on the 530t? and if i remember correctly, i did diode isolate the GWA connection from my kill switches.
thanks for any help, greatly appreciate it!
PS car is a 96 honda prelude

Have you tested the wires that you are tapped into for the role up/down?
This is the wire diagram in case you don't have it:
http://www.p71interceptor.com/window...uals/530t2.jpg

Just make sure your getting signal from the switches first (dmm or testlight) You can look up your vehicle wiring here:
http://www.the12volt.com/installbay/vehicles.html

Test for signals from your switches. If they are working then use your keypad and make sure it's doing the same thing. If your keypad isn't giving the same results, then it could be the 530t isn't working or wired right.

Gotcha, so the 530 is sending signal. If the switches are as well, then make sure the motor is receiving signal. I would check right at the motor, if it is then the motor is bad. That's also making sure the motor ground is good as well.

ok well my connections are not right for the passenger window. do i HAVE to make the connections in the passenger door for the passenger window? i dont care about having auto up and down for the passenger window. i made them all in the driver door at the master switch and i was hoping i could still do this but i cant figure it out. since i already have the wires ran there im hoping there is a way.
i also discovered that instead of the window/s closing when i arm the alarm, they close when i turn the key to the I position from the II(ON) position. but the windows stop when i take it to the OFF position. why could this be? i dont know if i will like it or not. it might be nice but it also might bug me.
btw the car is a 96 honda prelude.
thanks for the help so far!

Not sure if you can get them in the drivers side. I would join here: http://www.hondahookup.com/manuals/

Download the manual for your car and check it. I tried to see if your car was listed here:
http://www.the12volt.com/installbay/...tail/1052.html

It is, but it doesnt show your window up/down wires. As for the windows going from up to down on there own, that is most likely how there hooked up and possibly how the alarm is configured. When you put the key in and turn it it's most likely sending a signal to your alarm (Which it's supposed to do) however if the 530t has a ribbon cable to the alarm, it's the alarm thats sending the signal for the windows to do that. I believe they do that by default and you can change it either with a bit writer (which you wont have) or by knowing which alarm you have and having access to the valet switch(if one is installed) and using your keypad to make changes.

Correct, thats what it does by default, you can change it by going into the alarm menu and turning that off. It will require access to the valet switch, having the key in the ignition, and the key pad in your hand. Having the manual on your alarm will also be needed.

Well short of having a haynes manual or equivalent you need a diagram of the window wiring. Most DEI tech pages have that stuff, I don't have access to them anymore as I do not install professionally anymore however someone on here may still have access and be willing to copy paste for you. Good luck to ya!

The issue with connecting into the drivers door is if the signal from the drivers door switch hits a relay BEFORE the passenger window motor. The 530T uses the current draw to kick its self off. So when the window is all the way up, the motor can't move it anymore even though it's trying, so the amperage on the line goes up and the 530T kicks off.

If there's a relay in line, since the motor is now pulling off the feed to the relay rather than the wire the 530T is connected to, the shutoff feature won't work correctly. You just need to figure out if there's relays between where you've tagged your wires and the window motor.

You should be able to, you will have to look at your alarm manual and in the output section it should show how many setting it has and how to enable them.

Cool man, The delay is inherent in Honda design. There are some threads somewhere that explain how to fix it. Search for honda window delay fix or something, you'll find it.

i'm not sure cause the signal has to travel across the car regardless so that could cause a delay itself, plus i liked the auto up/down functions on my switches. i never tried going into the passenger door so I don't wanna say that it would work cause I'm not sure.
