Default Which header?? help plz

wat up HT

im looking to buy some headers for my setup, but im undecided which headers would be best for me.. rite now im looking at

high-end replica header
rmf narrow replica
try-y big tube replica
or the new ultimate driven b-series v2 header

i currently have a b18c itr motor fully built head pro2 cams,pp,valves, spring n retainers, edelbrock mani with 3'' intake, block is 81.5 basically stock besides that.. 2.5 piping with spoon n1 exaust n stock itr headers.. i dyno at 202 on a dyno jet..

wat u guys recomend for my setup as i see different opinions this header is better then that and in another page the same headers but backwards so from u guys xperience wat u recommend.. also my car is daily driven

If its fully built, dont get a replica. Have someone design a header for your application.

Why would you go so far and then cheap out on the header?

To begin, you can buy headers if you want, but you only need a header. Our cars have one header, they are not v6(most of them) or v8 powered so they do not have headers, they have a header.

With your setup you will not benefit from a knock off replica header over the jdm Itr piece. If you want to make more power have header custom made for your setup. Look into smsp. They have been around for a long time and back their products.

Lets top and think for a minute though. Is the $800 or more you will spend on a good custom made header really worth the 6-10 whp it will yeild? I'd be suprised if any of the header choices you listed will make much more if any more power over the jdm itr piece.

Mind you I am assuming you have a 98 spec 1 piece jdm Itr header, not the two piece 96 spec header. Its a whole nother ball game if you have the 96 spec on there.

Good start here https://honda-tech.com/forums/all-motor-naturally-aspirated-44/%7C%7C%7C%7C%7C-new-members-please-read-%7C%7C%7C%7C%7C-2917915/

SMSP/Toda/S2/RMF/BISI would all be a good investment.
