ok so i got a 1994 teg hatch in a trade when i hit the brakes the damn cluster lights up and the left turn signal lights up its stupid as hell i cant figure out how the guy did this anybodys help will be appreciated

 

have you checked if there's any stray wiring near the pedal?
otherwise, you may have a bad ground at the brake switch or short to voltage
do the brake lights still light up when you hit the brakes?

 

yea the brakes light up and the turn signals light up the guy apparently said he wired it to "wink" when you hit the brakes both taillights light up and just one blinker lights up ive searched the wiring for a week and cant seem to find the issue

 

so he purposely did that? wtf?
you try contacting him to see where he spliced it?

 

yea crazy right ha ha i called him and he doesnt remember exactly what he did
