Definitely the ITR unless it was being driven by a crappy driver.

 

i've beaten ITR's in my stock SH before. at that time i thought only dimwits bought and drove ITR's coz a lot of the ones i raced didn't know how to drive the damn car. they where the idiots who thought that jus coz they're car had the type r badge on it that it was automatically faster than anythign on the road.

 

i have an R and my roommate has an SH, both stock to stock handle very well. itr comes with ALOT better stock tires than the SH's RE92's. both are very well built machines, R comes out on top barely, again comes down to the driver.

 

those RE92's cost me $155 at a local firestone to replace after i blew one out

I don't even know why I'm wasting my time reading and replying to this post but I have to dispute this guy:

I call bulshit.... 4th gens and ITR's are roughly the same unless you were to be in an autocross. But thats why they've been considered the best handling FWD car for years. Power to Power the 4th gen will pull away. Ask any 4th gen owner here and they will agree, most likely from personal experience.

 

The ITR would win if you have two equally experienced drivers.

I have beaten type-r's at the drags in my stock lude, but I wouldn't say I'm 'faster'. I pulled on the launch and 1-2, but 3rd gear the Type-R gained ground like a ****. I barely won.
