Default Pioneer DEH-P7400MP

Does anyone have this headunit? I bought it the other day...

And when I have the display to just show the filename, or on a radio station.... about ever 15 seconds the back light will glow a blue for about 15 seconds then shut off.... and just keeps doing this, except when I have a screen saver on.

Does anyone know how to disable this? Any help will be appriciated... Thanks

i think this is the reverse feature. I have the DEH 8000 and the same thing happens.

To disactivate:
--with unit off press the 6 button or the 5 button.
-i just cant remember which. ONe will start the demo mode and the other will do nothing except beep. ONe touch is all thats needed.

once you do this turn it back on and see if it still does it.

hope this helps.

i got the same head unit...and i don't think there's a way to disable that....i didn't read anything about that in the manual but if i missed anything...please share because sometimes it gets annoying seeing the colors change all the time...well what you could is dim the light on the head unit all the way low so it isn't too bright...hope this helps..peace
