Default Identify this crank

I bought it as a B16 crank years ago and then when i came use it i took it to a machine shop to get it checked out and they told me it was from a b18. I ended up not using it in the end as i bought a Laskey Racing B18 fully built.

Can anyone tell what it is? This is from the UK if that makes a difference.

Lmfao! Did you really take pictures of it laying in the middle of a paved road?
Looks to me like its from a 1978 volkswagen beetle. Appears to have about 190k on it and considering the condition its in, an older person probably drove it as they tend to baby their cars. On even closer inspection, itwas probably from a southern car that didn't see any cold startups.
Yep im that good.
153 years in the business, and you come to get an eye for these things.

No, really though....all those pictures you took of the letters/numbers are useless in identifying that crank, sorry to say. You'll need to mic the rod and main journals before any conclusion can be made.

Not like i slammed it down. It's just the counter weights that touched the tarmac and it need cleaning before use anyway.

looks like a B16 crank to me. you can tell that the stroke isn't as much as a B18 by looking at the position of the rod journals in relation to the mains

Yeah you're right. I measured the stroke in the end and it was a b16. Cheers.

Also the "thinner" counter weights between journals 2 & 3 are characteristic's of B16's and GS-R's....
