2 fuel pumps???
If they cause your fuel pressure to be higher than normal they would.
For example, An increase in fuel volume and a few too many restrictions in the fuel return could cause an increase in pressure @ the fuel rail.

I have a fpr and have it set at 40 psi and its still running extremely rich.. I bought this car with a built 2.0 motor and the guy had two pumps on it.. now I have a 1.8 lsvtec with same head as previous build. I got a basemap for it but still runs rich.. can the volume from both pumps and my 370cc injectors be spraying to much gas??

Every one here is gonna say TUNE TUNE TUNE...and they are right. How do you know it's running rich, do you have a wideband and is it setup and calibrated correctly(crazy important)? What ecu? Chipped on crome or does it have you can tune(neptune, ectune, hondata, etc.)? I guess you can try disconnecting a pump and see what happens
If you take one of the pumps off and keep your fuel pressure regulator set at 40psi, your fuel pressure is still going to be 40psi with the one pump. Removing one will not solve tour issue. What are your current AFR's or are you saying it's rich becuase it won't run right
Also, What is your setup and what engine management (ECU) are you currently using?

This is how I know its running rich.... car won't idle, plugs are fuel fouled and Wet with fuel.. also after car turns off I unplug the connectors to the injectors and car starts for 3 seconds from all the fuel still left in cylinders.. that's how I can tell its running way rich..
