I am pretty sure; you want it to last a considerable length of time and that is only going to happen if you meticulously maintain it like you would a PORSCHE,or a LAMBO without the service costs! I would also inquire to see if you could get an external (remote) oil cooler, temp. controlled fan, AN lines to and from as well as the remote filter relocation kit! It makes a hell of a diff when it comes to daily driven reliability!
Now as far as REV's go, there are a few key components that you have to make it possible to turn it up to 9,500 but, there are others that make it even more favorable but I can not reveal those as I am the LS-VTEC KING and secrets are what makes me money in the long run! I have a reputation for making them last till around 70k-90k of abuse with piston rings being the only drawback due to the rev's and rod/stroke ratio taking its toll on the most used parts of the internal combustion process! this is something that can't be helped with those RPM's being turned..........
My suggestion to you would be take it to 9k only in 1st and 2nd gear but stay within the 8,500-8,800 range for 3rd and 4th gear as to maintain the longevity quotient and reliability factor and you should be just fine playing it safe........I didn't see anything about the valvetrain bro...............I hope that you are fully prepared the correct way or failure may follow more unexpected than most!

You need common sense. If your car stop making power at 8900 why rev it any higher? please enlighten me WHY you would even consider doing that? cause its cool to rev high?

Malarky!!! It's based upon the entire balance of the engine and how the tolerances were of the bearings. Whether or not they are LS or GS-R has little bearing.
