105k Service this weekend, parts arrived.
This weekend the wife's 05 VP will be receiving its 105k service interval. All parts ordered from RockAuto.com. Parts in the upper right are crank/cam seals in the event I feel they need replacement while I am in there.
Will update with some more reference pictures after the service is completed.

That is the PCV valve. I am fairly confident it will go smoothly. I picked up the special tool to hold the crank pulley in place, and I have a slew of air tools. I do timing belts fairly often on DSMs - so I know the principles behind the service and what needs to be done. First time performing major service on a honda
We have some DIY's in the FAQ's that may be of some help. Particularly this one..
If you have questions about torque specs, feel free to ask.
Also, when you install the new valve cover gasket, you should apply some liquid gasket on the bottom corners of the gasket arches where it goes over the cam.

Well it took about 5 hours since it was my first run on a D17. My 3/4" Impact hit the crank bolt 4 times and the bolt spun off - easy. The most dicking around was messing with the water jacket bolt on the back of the block during the coolant flush portion. Never knew Honda coolant was blue, either. Was interesting to see gatorade-like fluid drain out.
For 102k, the belt looked perfect. It is the wife's DD however and rarely sees high RPM use or abuse.

If we plan on keeping this car long enough I will be going through this process, just picked up an 01 with 134k. I dont have any air tools any advice on what will be needed and what i should invest in getting to get this done as fast and comfortable as possible?
You won't need air tools. The only real PITA is the crank bolt, but you can use a battery operated impact gun if you have one. It'll be a lot easier than trying to muscle it off.
I had mine done by a mechanic at 108k but it cost me $800 since it also included cam install, tranny fluid change, coolant flush, and strut install. I have the tools (dad's) but lack the time to do so.
You are brave to do a timing belt. I have done almost everything to a car except the tb. I think the thought of damaging a motor quickly intimidates me.
I just had the belt and water pump service done on my 03 with 156k for $430 at the dealer.
