Default KBB Article Stating That the ITR is a New Classic

As you all know from my recent thread, my ITR was stolen last week (https://honda-tech.com/forums/acura-integra-type-r-8/01-765-stolen-2920358/).

In preparing to challenge the insurance adjusters settlement amount, I'm trying to collect articles which support how rare and collectible the ITR has become in recent years. I'm found several threads which links to a recent KBB article:

http://cm.syndication.kbb.com/kb/ki....assics;article

Unfortunately, it seems this link is dead. Therefore, I wanted to reach out the board and see if anyone saved this article, or can find this article and email or link me to it. Also feel free to link me to any other articles which may support the fact that the ITR is now considered a collectable.

Thanks in advance.

Hiroki

Not sure what the KBB article contained...

Old USA Today article (pics don't work, and it's not very descriptive): http://content.usatoday.com/communit.../09/68498782/1

Classic Motorsports Magazine had an article on it in the past. Also the GRM 25th anniversary issue had something in it as well. You might do some searching on their websites to find them.

I will mail you the Grassroots magazine that features the ITR if you promise to return it.

Your local Kinkos can make color copies of the pages the article is on.

I've used the above referenced USA Today article to successfully open a collector's policy. In an email to the underwriter, I also included quotes from and links to a few other online sources. It later turned out that the biggest selling point were the annual numbers... mine was a 2000 and the most "plentiful" year.

Wonder why it was just the 2001 listed in the article...

Here ya go, become a NASA member and they give them to you for free... All 3 bathrooms have at least one GRM in them.

Yeppers, that's the info I was looking for. We'll see if insurance will consider it.

I could've sworn there was a sticky thread with people who successfully challenged insurance companies offering low amounts for ITRs that were stolen/written off. I'm also interested in how they fought the insurance companies in order to get a more reasonable settlement.

Probably because it was the last year of production for the DC2.
