Default D15B2 Transmission Clutch Adjustment

so before i go out and buy a whole new clutch can someone help me out if they can and tell me how to adjust the clutch on a d15b2, bc what it does it slips or when im in 4th/5th and i floor it the rpms shoot up but i get no acceleration what so ever. well until the clutch engages then i do. but i dont get a burnt clutch smell and it dangerous to be driving it like this on the freeway... so does anybody know the problem??? or if it just needs an adjustment?

an adjustment would remedy clutch release not engagement. if you floor it and it slips. time for a new clutch. how is it at lower speeds like taking off in first gear

^^^ agreed for normal wear.
However, an adjustment might be the solution if you had been working under the hood and messed with the cable. Somethign like rerouting the cable could accidentally cause it to OVER adjust - meaning the cable was now too tight and the clutch cable was making it act like you were constantly pressing on the pedal.

well 1st/2nd are fine sometimes 3rd is good too but thats mainly where it begins to slip, i personally havent messed with the cable or anything like that bc i bought the car 2 months ago and the only thing i did was adjust the pedal and that helped alot so it gives me reason to believe its the cable that needs to be adjusted. but the past owner did say that the stock motor was replaced for this one so i mean unless he rode the clutch all the time or the person that swapped it messed up somewhere theres no reason it should be giving out this early, and if i need help adjusting if anyone can link me to a walk through or just tell me it would save me money on a clutch if it worked
