Im looking for a set of struts for my honda, i lowered the car this week and i have the stocks shocks but yesterday i was on a shop and the guy told me if i lowered the car more than 2 inches i cant find struts for the car. I think many of you guys have lowered cars please help me and recomend me a model and a brand of struts for a Honda Civic 93 EX COUPE, its with coilovers right now and its all the way down thanks for your help guys

 

first off, please use the right wording. Your 93 EX does not use struts, it uses shocks. And about going farther than 2 inches- some companies don't warranty their products if the car is lowered more than a certain amount. I believe KYB AGX's aren't supposed to be lower than 1 1/2 for warranty. I've had mine a little over 2 for a year on them and no problems. I think Koni yellows are for really low applications. Somebody will tell you though. Look up different shocks and see what the warranty entails.

Koni's aren't any shorter than the others. Unless you pay more to have them shortened.

 

You can go with adjustable or non-adjustable shocks. If your not going to be autoXing or tracking you car then i would recommend the non-adjustable shocks. Here are some suggestions.

tokico illuminas

non-adjustable:
koni reds
kyb standard
tokico blues
