Icon6 quick timing question

Anyone know the psi (torque) that the crank pulley bolt should be at for a 2000 civic lx? I've read online that it should be @ 130psi but the manual says 14psi and AllData says its 17psi, regardless though I feel that's 2 little psi for that type of bolt because it was a bitch taking it off even with Honda's special crank-pulley tool and 2 breaker bars. I've been on this since this Saturday and I want my baby back already. Please help someone...

Torque specification is normally in feet (x) pounds, not pounds per square inch. Overlooking that, the crankshaft pulley bolt on the 2000 Civic D16 should be tightened to 14 ft-lbs PLUS an additional turn of 90 degrees

In this case, use the torque wrench to get your 14 ft-lbs, then swap to the breaker bar for the 90 degree turn. It will be quite tight at the end of the 90 degree turn, just like it was when you removed it.

This information is in the FAQ, you could have found it right away!

Alright I'll check up on that torquing, another question though, now that my car has all the 4 belts (p/s, a/c, alt, & timing) brand new, it started screeching like crazy!!!! kinda like a witch on fire or something so my approach was this: I took out every belt, one by one and started the car after each removal and it still screeched a lil after each removal, even with all of them removed, and so I dont know what else it might be????? Please help cuz the screeching is so annoying it makes me want to crash the car into a wall so it shuts the f*** up

14-ft/lbs. tq is less torque than hand tightening. The original post has the correct torque spec, but written incorrectly. It's 130-ft/lbs., not PSI.

Alright, regardless of it being psi or psf, the crank bolt it still @ 130 but the belts or something still keeps screeching like crazy. I'll try loosening the belts to see if the solves the problem but if not, idk what else to do

Crank pulley torque doesn't affect belt noise. Usually a squealing belt happens with the belt is bad or too loose. If you go too tight, the alternator or power steering pump will squeal.

Try tightening the belt a little bit.

Actually, I forgot this was the 06+ Civic forum. Is there a way to tighten your belt or do you have a single belt with a spring loaded tensioner? If you've got a spring loaded tensioner, it's possible that your tensioner or one of the pulleys is bad.

I've already removed the a/c and p/s belts completely off and the squeal still continued, the alternator belt I couldnt remove completely off so I'm guessing its that, but even though I've left the alt belt as loose as it can go and it still squealed. That's what I was thinking 2, that it might be the spring loaded tensioner (single belt) so if its that, imma have to remove everything again, which is not hard its just annoying and time consuming

on those the alternator belt has to be fairly tight.....use a small pry bar to pry it out then lock down the nut on top then the bottom then put the other belts on simple as that.
