Crower Valve train with skunk2 pro 1 cams
I currently already own supertech dual valve springs with stock retainers but from what i understand you shouldnt run stock retainers so im thinking about switching them out.. someone mentioned something about rsx retainers possibly working as well so at this point i dont know which way to go... im not running ti retainers thats for sure so with that being said what should i do?
I want to make sure that this is the proper valve train for the set up I will be running...
daily driver / 91 octane / tuned on p28 w/crome
b18b1 block / 81.50mm RS Machines pr3 pistons
b16a2 head / oem valve guides etc / skunk2 pro 1 cams
oem 3 layer head gasket
I want to make sure before i order them that this is exactly what i need for what im going to run, I dont trust ti retainers and because of that I want to run chromoly retainers versus ti retainers and because of that I am left with only one choice... crower... now which of the two valve spring sets do i need? the softer 185's or the harder 188's?
Chromoly retainers that ill be using (work with either valve spring set obviously)

Skunk2 Pro 1 cams link below

Do I get the softer set of valve springs or the harder set? which would be the set i want for skunk2 pro 1's? or will someone confirm that there is a set of stronger retainers i could use with the supertech valve springs besides ti retainers of course... maybe rsx retainers or is it possible that theres a set of crower retainers that fit the supertech valve springs?

just in case someone runs across this thread with a simular issue, im going to be using 02-04 rsx type s retainers part number 14765-PRB-A00 with the supertech dual valve springs, this set up is a great set up for a daily driver... low maintenance and strong enough to withstand a high profile cam
