interested as well. you can actually get a decent cr with those pistons if you mill the head, block or 1 ply the head gasket.

I think its more so that it's so common of a build no one has bothered to chime in and tell you just to search for the many that have been done.

The limiting factor is going to be whether or not there's any headwork, or additional compression added via other methods (milling the block/head, thinner head gasket, etc etc) and what your other supporting components are (bolt-ons etc).

This makes me want to do a stock B20/V just to see what it will make.

this is a simple yet effective build most budget builders can do and still enjoy. does anyone have experience with blox cams and stock b20z blocks

unless you change pistons the most aggressive cam you can run are ctr/itr and that is a 0exh 0 intake...

hey guyz..recently purchased a complete b20z shortblock and was gonna slap my b16 head on..has valvetrain done with sk2s2 cams..read that i will needa open up the valve relievies and will do so if needed..wanna run at least a 2layer hg and my arp rodbolts r on the way..anybody has a similar setup??wanna upgrade pistons bcuz of compression and valve clearance issues but wanna stay stock as its cheaper for me(y i bought a shortblock instead of a bare block)..lmk ASAP guyz..

The kid who claimed Pro2 is full of ****.

OEM B20 piston, OEM cam. Simple.

If you can't afford to build the block, how are you gonna afford it when you blow it once you get it running?

"Peeps" are not going to "chime in" because "peeps" have not done it. You can't. Again, if you cannot afford a rebuild, then go with the safe route. If you're wanting to go fast without spending money, Honda's are not for you. Look into a small block Chevrolet.

lol..its ok..domestic ftl..as for a rebuild, there is a difference between cant and rather not..and never did i say i cant..i just said its cheaper for me and that does not mean im building a cheap block..its just stock piston and better suited for my application..rs piston and ycp are ~$320..thats affordable..ill give it a few days n see if anybody says anything..if not, i AM prepared to buy the necessary piston set..but still "RATHER NOT" and diffenitely not goin the safe route..i rather make it work..the goal is to keep my cams and beat some boltons, slight modified v8s..lol..i can do that already but need it to be more often..haha..i do lose even tho vtak never loses..thnx
