3bar MAP questions?!? one6 motorsports PLUS lean issues itr
hello i just recently bought a 3 bar map sensor from one6 motorsports in chicago illinois and when i bought it they told me to use the presets in the hondata smanager (s300) and use the hondata 4 bar presets and it is a straight plug and play. so i did just that and the car runs and drives fine but i have had a lean issue with my car since before that was installed but i am looking for someone who has possibly bought the same map and is able to verify that the map is working correctly with the 4 bar presets....? just didnt seem right. but it reads about -20.5 at idle which doesnt seem wrong to me.
sorry car is 97 black ex coupe- jdm itr swap
also to my lean issues.... i recently noticed that my wideband gauge in my car was reading waaay lean for my liking. like 19-20:1 it only reads like that when it is at idle or at a steady throttle aka not accelerating (highway driving). the wideband is only hooked up to guage. havent wired to pcm yet. but i cannot figure out why it is running lean.... tried everything
-no vacuum leaks was tiny one in fuel regulator and got new one now anyway
-new MAP
-put new check valve brake booster line since didnt have correct one bofore (i was desperate to fix it lol)
-BRAND NEW rc 650cc inj with all new o-rings and manifold seals
-stock itr fuel map and had no issues before
-reset wideband to original
-stock narrowband agrees with wideband while comparing on s300 voltage compared to wideband gauge
-sometimes dies when clutch it and drops to idle
-plugs are good
-all fires right
-good timing
-no misses
-mot even 2% cylinder leakge in cyl 2 and didnt even check others.
-clean oil
-clean coolant
-
please help i have tried everything!!

Try your stock map sensor and see if it does the same thing to rule it out. I have a 4 bar and it reads weird. When I'm at 15psi on my boost gauge my datalogs show 25psi. I just tuned the car for what the map sensor was seeing. Sounds to me like you need to tune the car though.
yeah i have 650's on my stock map.. i am like 1 month away from turboing my car and have been installing some parts before and preparing for the build. i had 440's b4 those lol and accidentally ruined the previous tune and was too lazy to take to local dyno and tune again just put itr map back on but this was over a year ago. hondata adjusts for the size injectors you have on it if you just tell hondata what size they are. and i am wiring in my wideband to my pcm this week and using the hondata autotune bulls*** so i can run ok till i am able to tune for boost. but i was running lean before i put the new MAP on. and lean issue didnt change when i swapped them out and just adjusted in hondata.
lol plus you would think with about 50 psi and huge injectors it would be rich right!? lol
thanks

I dont see how using the presets for a 4 bar when you have a 3 bar makes since. When i got my car tuned my tuner thought i had a 4 bar map when i had a 3 bar and my AFRs were all jacked up and ran like **** til he set the presets to a 3 bar map.

Trust me it was lean before I turned up fuel psi and put the 650's on. And what one6 motorsports told me was that it is the exac same map sensor as the hondata 4bar but they were buying them from the manufacturer so they could sell them for cheap. But they are the same map sensor. So I should be using the hondata presets therefore.
And it is lean because when I clutch it it sometimes dies because there isn't enough fuel
