Well it looks like the following... rear window was replaced (crappy job) and the defroster wasnt connected on the passenger side though the clip broke off (100% my fault ) how do I get it back on and get the defroster to work

 

Repair the clip and attach it......

No real other way around it, already sounds like you know what the problem is.

 

I'm just nervous about soldering someone told me the glass could crack if it gets too hot?

 

Check Permetex products. I know they have something to repair the "grids" but my memory tells me they also had something to re-attach the ends as well...good luck.

The rear defroster on my 96 Accord EX wagon does not appear to be working. I hit the rear defroster button, it lights up but the defroster doesn't work. Any ideas?

 

broken grid or your not getting power to it. try the fuse.
