Default d16y8 block d16z6 head...no start

hey guys i just did a d16y8/z6 head swap into my ef...everything is connected as it should be but it doesnt start...it cranks...does the timing order change from the y8 since its a z6 head??? any help would be appreciated...thanks

Firing order is the same, mechanical timing is a bit different. Did you use a Z6 specific camshaft and camgear?

yea i did...i figured out theres no spark...idk what it could be...main relay?fried ecu?how can i tell if my ecu is bad?

More than likely it's your distributor wiring or something in the distributor itself.
What distributor and ECU are you using?

Main relay has nothing to do with it unless your ECU isn't getting power.

Make sure your ground cables are good. Especially the ones that go from the chassis to the transmission/motor.
Other than that it really sounds like the distributor.
