Default What Clutch is best?

I just had to take out my Clutchmasters stage 1 clutch and lightwieght flywheel and replace it with the HEAVY flywheel, and very UN-STICKY stock clutch because when i went to disengage the clutch it would not disengage it would just constantly rub, something with the Clutchmasters kit must have gone wrong, so u can understand the problems that caused. Anyways I was simply wondering what lightwieght flywheel and performance clutch i can use on the Y1 LSD tranny for a b16a1, if anyone has this tranny and motor and has a differnent clutch/flywheel, or just knows what the hell there talking about it would be much appreciated since i want to get this stock stuff out ASAP. Thanks

I haven't tried the Exedy combo for your application, but their clutch/fly combo for the B18C1 is fantastic. Coximports.com has them for $629 for the 9lbs chromoly fly and organic full face race clutch. I've used this combo, it's a good deal. I think there's a number for a $10 coupon floating around here too.

Yes here's the link. Only good for a couple more days though.

I just received my Exedy Organic Race Clutch and 9.2lb flywheel from coximport.com. Mike is a great guy. He gave me ten dollar coupon even though I didn't know about it. Plus I bought an AEM CAI polished for only 180.

Both these pieces are for my B18C. The engine is being swapped next week, and I hope all the Exedy hipe lives up to its name.

Good luck.

Personally, I like ACT and I have used them the most... One of my friends had a Clutchmaster and it went out after a year so we just dropped a ACT Maxx Xtreme in his GSR hatch the other week and he loves it. It's expensive tho $500.... I would recommend the ACT Xtreme or Heavy duty PP with a 6 puck disk.. Sorry haven't had much experience with those other brands
