that would be the air boost valve and i believe i see a cold air intake?
well that hose goes to the pipping which then goes to the stock intake system. I have it the same way and it goes no where
here is a vacuum diagram

do you get code 12 (EGR)? I get the code, my car is an automatic which has an EGR valve but the manifold which was replaced came from a manual and has no spot for an EGR and thats the reason i get the code. You should not have this issue with that. For a bad idle i'd look at cleaning the Idle Air Control Valve located on the back of the manifold, you can easily find a guide on how to do that by googling it, and cleaning the FITA, Fast Idle Thermo Valve and when you do these make sure you let your car relearn the idle by removing the negative battery terminal for a little then when you go to start it let it idle for about 10 mins without touching the gas. see if that will solve your issue with your idle

That is the daspot diaphragm. It is supposed to keep your throttle plate from slamming closed when you let off of the gas. It shouldnt be causing your idle problems. It dosent need to be hooked up. Actually you can remove the dashpot all together if you want.
