first off im new to forums and to tuners, i have a 1998 civic hx with a jdm b20b running off a ls ecu and when i tryed to hookup my mechanics computer wit the program "auto enginuity" through the obd2 plug it said it couldnt communicate and then i tryed my actron code reader and it said link error so i tested the female plug in my car n it has power so now im lost........will a US version scanner scan a jdm motor ????? and will the ma inspection station be able to scan obd2 to pass it ???????? even tho its a jdm b20b motor ??? ...........help plz any info is helpful.......

 

JDM OBD2 ECUs wont communicate with a scan tool, you'll need to run a USDM ECU and make sure you're running a secondary O2 sensor and perform the CKF trick shown here -> http://technet.ff-squad.com/ckftrick.htm
