so i have a 94 honda civic CX hatch manual with a D15B8 (sad i kno, but not for long). bought it with a tiny metallic rattle only when i shift from 1st - 2nd and from 2nd - 3rd. havent really given it a good look-see so im just trying to find some opinions on what could possibly be causing the problem. also it feels kinda sluggish when shifting up like its struggling to catch the gear. any help would be appreciated!

 

also idk if this will help, but the guy i bought it from said its been sitting for a long time (about 2-3yrs) he guestimated in his garage with only 68K miles on the stock engine.

 

everyone dont answer all at once to help a guy out.

 

had the same problem when i did my b16 swap in my ek hatch. my problem was the a shifter linkage was a little rusted and it was bending every time i shift then one day i just broke in half on the road i pulled over and it was on the floor. maybe its theshift linkage.
