Default 2001 Civic EX problems

Hi yall! Gotta 2001 Civic EX that is giving me issues. I know I need a new transmission (Automatic transmission) as it is slipping when i change gears(over revs and changes gears oddly) but a new problem has developed.

Apon light acceleration(general maintaince of speed) It looses all power for up to 3 seconds(when I say loose power, the engine seems to die but all electrical stays alright) I visualy watch the RPMs fall a bit then jump back up when it comes back. The jerking back and forth is driveing me crazy and I would like to fix it. Is this related to the transmission I need to replace?

The newest work I did on it was a swap to a brand new TPS sensor to solve it dieing at lights(It worked, old TPS was bad) It burns oil a bit(bout a quart between changes) and its got 123000 miles on it.

Need some advise. Thanks in advance

Scan for codes, then post the codes here. If you don't have your own scanner, take the car to Auto Zone, Pep Boys, etc. Many places will scan it for free.

Also, has the "D" indicator in the cluster been flashing at all?

I've never had any problems with or after using Seafoam.

Something's loose, it sounds like. Or perhaps a failing, but not-quite-dead-yet main fuel relay.
