I have a 93 del sol si with a p28 ecu and i got a motor its a d16y8 head on a d16y7 block will that go into my car and run or will i have to get the jumper harness?

 

use a z6 intake manifold and ur golden not y8, y8 is obd2 and z6 is obd1 which is what you got pm me for details did it for a friend a whie back

 

Just reuse your distributor, injectors and alternator. Also for ease reuse your intake and exhaust manifolds.

 

Thanks guys i appreciate the help. I have a d16z6 now that blew up so i can just take off my dizzy, intake mani, and altenator and it will bolt up to the y7 block and i can still run 0bd1? thats awesome lol i didnt think i could do i thought i had to get the harness.

 

Wait sorry I didn't notice you had a z6, the z6 won't bolt up to your head. You'll need a distributor from a d15b7 for plug and play and bolt up. Otherwise if u have one from the y8 you can swap the wiring out from the z6 to the y8

Btw just put my motor in today and you can use the z6 dizzy on the y8 head it bolts right up. But thanks for the help guys.

 

then it wasn't a d16z6 distributor but glad whatever it was works for you
