Having some issues B18c1
So i just got my motor back from the machine shop and got done tucking my engine harness, brake lines, headlight harnesses, fuse box, battery, so on so on....well I got the motor in, filled up all the fluids last night and it started up just fine.
Heres my dilema, well a couple of them....for one thing the motor is idling up and down a lot, also the coolant system is being funny...after about 10 minutes the lower radiator hose will get very hot and coolant will start coming out of the top of the radiator but the fan wont kick on. Also within about 5 minutes the coolant gauge will read halfway (which obviously is way too quick) but it wont go past halfway.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Heres some more information on the motor just incase it helps anyone out....the motor was rebuilt at a machine shop, new piston rings, main bearings, rod bearings, honed cylinder walls, every gasket repalced, glass beaded block and head and everything cleaned. Type R cams. O miles on the motor when I put it in and started it up.
Sounds like you have a air bubble hiding somewhere, try letting it idle with a coolant funnel and revving up to 3500-4000 every so often with the blower motor on full blast heat on recirc. If still problems, do all of that but jack up the front of the car too
the front of the car is jacked up, and i dont have heat to blast haha. and ive tried letting it run and idle to get any air bubbles out but coolant starts flowing out of the top of the radiator before the thermostat even opens.
well i got the fan to cylce through twice so I think were all good in that aspect but it is still idleing rough. Heres my dilema, its idling too high it seems like and bogging down, but if I unplug the iacv the idle speeds up. I have read that this means the iacv is good, and also that it is bad? The other problem is, I cant smooth out the idle with my finger when the iacv is unplugged.
Any suggestions what so ever would be awesome. Fresh b18c1 rebuilt blah blah rough idle problems.
