ECU Problem , HELPP PLEASE !
So my mechanic finally got my H22 Swap done and running . Started driving it down the road and the engine wouldn't rev pass 4000 RPM . I'm running a Chipped P28 but it wasn't tuned for MY motor so we automatically knew it was the ECU . I need to get the car from my mechanic's shop back to my house TONIGHT so I can take it to the tuning shop tomorrow to have the ECU tuned correctly for my motor . Now my question is , would it be best to leave the P28 in and just go easy on the motor , or put the PT3 back in and drive it like that ?? Only gonna be driving it like this for one day .
As long as the injectors aren't dumping too much fuel, you should be fine. If keeping it under ~3.5K and it "seems" fine...I'd try it for a short distance/time.
Others might chime in with more info, I'm not any good with swaps so I don't know all the "dangers".

Don't put the PT3 ECU back in because the Air/Fuel mapping on that ECU is different from a H22 basemap and can ruin your engine.
I doubt it's the ECU that won't let you revv past 4K rpm. It's gotta be a sensor that isn't working right. Do you have any CEL? You have to get the car fix first before the tuner can tune your car.
