swap that block out for a b20 or turbo.... b16 all motor builds are VERY limited.

your stock b16 tranny is good enough i would invest in a LSD RMF header or a custom set and a programmable ecu like crome or hondata etc and if your looking for power swap out the block

Sell all of your junk parts and buy a QSD kit and an h22 long block.

Why would he switch back to a b16 trans?? He already has better gearing and lsd

I can quote a few members talking about the TODA header dominating others on the b16..

OP, do you have a specific hp you would like to reach?

dont waste your time with the b16....i own a 2000 civic si and after dumping a lot of money into the b16 i still wasnt happy. you should either boost the b16 or build a b18 bottom end with some decent compression or go for a b20 bottom end and build that.
my current build is a very high compression b18c bottom with ported polished b16 head and all the supporting mods. if you saw all the receipts for how much money i have into this you would puke. just an fyi....im still not happy and im making about 220whp.
if i had to do it all over again....i would have built the b16 bottom end and boosted it 16-18psi on a gt30 or something similar.

b166 love nitrous...nitrous adds alot of torque which they lack...and you can spin them high...if u do it right it will be fun...

What's a b166?

And why does a b16 in particular perform better with nitrous than say a b18c1? b18c5? b18b? h22?

Spin what high? The engine?

B16's red line at 8,000rpm

b18c1 red lines at 8100rpm

b18c5 red lines at 8600.

Higher red line doesn't necessarily mean more power. That's a formula calculated using the stroke. h22's make a lot more power all across the power band and red line at ~7500rpm.

Ditch the B16 block, find a 1.8L- 2.0L block and then build that. If you think you can touch 250whp or even 250 hp at the crank with a B16 block you should probably lay off the pipeski.
