Default New wheels Potentially Enkei PF01's

I was wondering if anyone here has heard any good or bad about these. I was planning on getting them for my SI.

17x7 with an offset of 48.

Also any good reputable sites to purchase them from? Ive been looking at Tirerack and possibly Ebay.

They seem to be selling for around $900-1000 shipped.

Yeah the stock offset is +45, that'll be 3mm more in than stock. If you wanna keep the same size as stock, 17x7, try and get an offset of +42 imo.

I appreciate the input guys, thanks for the heads up. Didn't realize the stock wheel offset was 45.

after looking the 17x8 pf01's come with a +35 offset.

The 17 x 8 et +35 are ideal numbers. As for tires, might I recommend 225/45's?

With 17x8 i would say atleast 225/45. Stock 215 would be a stretch. pardon the pun

225-40, gotta maintain that low pro. Though I think only one company makes a tire in that size?

Good tires though i believe they are summer tires. If you're looking for all season performance tire, the continental dws extreme contact are really good.

why is that?

i was thinking about getting 17x7 +48 pf01 for my 04 ep3...

couldnt i just get 3mm spacers to fix the offset?

i dont see why they'd look bad

17x7 +48 is much lighter than the other offsets/widths
http://enkei.com/Enkei_Racing_Tuning_Series_2010.pdf

stock is 16x7 +45...

I'm pretty sure that stock is 17x7 +45, not 16x7 +45.

ah my bad for my car at least(ep3)

04 civic si ep3 stock is 16x6.5 +45 tire:205/55/16

ep3 type r is 17x7 +45 (dunno the tire setup)

but thats beside the point...

couldnt i just get spacers for these wheels on my car?

i was gonna order those pf01 17x7 +48
3mm spacers would even it out?

why would it look bad...shouldnt be any different than type r setup if you get spacers really...or even the hfp on the new 8th gen si
i believe hfp is 17x7 +45...

Keep in mind how the wheel face will look like with a low width wheel. Do a google search on the exact wheel size. The deeper width you get is going to get more concave looking.

IMO they would look good on your car, but the above replies are correct, get the right size and offset and be set from the get-go... don't nickle and dime on your rollers...

reason why i wanted to get +48 offset was because its ~1lb lighter than the next size up that has the correct offset

17X7 +48 weighs 15.9

17x7.5 +45 weighs 16.75

...i was going to get +48 offset and put 3mm spacers in because i'd prefer something that weighs less...but now after reading this idk

can anyone chime in?

in case you're wondering where im getting this stuff from here...
http://enkei.com/Enkei_Racing_Tuning_Series_2010.pdf

i would just save myself the effort and get rpf1 but im tired of seeing those everywhere i want different wheels
and besides how light the rpf1 are i dont like the way they look

so im trying to get the pf01 in as light as possible...but not to where im giving up other things...

???

I'm planning on getting these hopefully this summer... I was also looking at the

17x7.5's IIRC they're a +45 offset? I haven't looked at the enkei page in a little while.

Found a sizing chart. the 17x7.5's come two ways with either a 38 or stock 45 offset.

the dealer replaced my front tires and the rears have 85% tread left so i may just run my existing tires until i need new ones. they should fit just fine i would suppose, on the 17x7.5's?

Get the 38 offset. As far as the tires go they will fit just fine. And you could use that money on springs/ coils

My TE37 Time Attacks are 17x7.5 48 offset and i think they look great on my car but at this point i would like something with a lower offset.

I would go with 17x8 35 offset at least

Here's something i hadn't thought of till now.

Can I re-use the existing TPMS sensors from my OEM wheels on the New PF01's I purchase?

As i was just looking at Tirerack dot com i noticed the TPMS' were an additional $144 for all four sensors.
