would you sell your R to buy an nsx?
Ok so Ive had my type r for about 8 years. It just sits in my garage all the time. It only has 30k on it. It is really nice, jdm front, volks, turbo.
So if I sold the type R I would buy an older nsx around 91 or so. I am looking at nsx from $20K-$30k.
I just don't know if I can bring myself to sell the type R. Am I going to make a bad choice?

I have thought about this from time to time. I decided I want both cars. So just save up and buy the NSX later. They're not going anywhere. Plus most of the NSX's in that price range need some rejuvenation. Unless you are financially able to rebuild it, whats the point?
If your R was 100% stock, you might've been able to trade it + ~$5000 for the NSX.
Anyway, I'm sure it's crossed my mind, but since I prefer NA2s, I know that selling the R won't get me anywhere close to how much the NA2 would cost, so no I won't sell the R for an NSX

In your case I wouldn't sense your R is hard parked anyway. I assume the nsx would be as well. I wouldn't sell mine for an nsx. I can pack 4 track wheels plus tools, camping gear ect. in the R. Yes the nsx is a great machine just not practical to some.

Yah no way would I do it. I'd just save for an NSX. Besides the ones that are decent aren't in the 20K range anyway, so you'd be getting a beater NSX. I'd rather save/wait for a 98+
yeah I think I could get 15-16k for my type R without much effort.
Hmmm, you guys really got my second guessing myself.
You know Ive thought about keeping an nsx and type R but the thing is I just have enough garage space to do that.

keep the R, if you want a track car go spend 10k on a 97+ corvette you can mod the **** out of and fix fairly cheap. the nsx is an expensive way to get on the track
why don't you drive the r?
if you hardly drive a very fun car like the r, what makes you think you wont get bored of the nsex after a while...
the nsx is pure sex..something to flaws and show off. the r is a car you can do stuff with.

Get both.
Then you will have those days when you can say:
"Ok...what I shall do now is climb out of my ITR and get into my NSX...not a bad day, this one...so far..."

I personally don't get too attached to one single car. There are just so many awesome cars I want to own and drive that I makes me ask myself why stick to one car or automaker.
But why is it just sitting in your garage and not being driven? 30,000 miles - seems like a gem you have there.
My R is for sale so I can buy an Nsx straight up. I don't want a car payment.

I have driven an NSX and loved it! But there is no way in a hot-place I'd ever get rid of my R for one. One day I plan on owning an NSX....someday.

right now is the time to get the best deal on the NSX, people are broke and selling their toys all over the place, the value on almost all cars is down
See, I'd love to have an NSX, but the problem is that the one I want, it's a one of, and the guy has over 140k into it. I'll never be able to afford
