Im new here. Cant figure out year of my integra.
Hi guys.
Sorry if this has been posted before.
Im only a couple of days into this site.. and just starting to look at threads posted.
I live in australia.
I recently bought a JDM XSI integra. Pretty decent conditon. paints dodgy in places but other than that i got an awesome buy. 240,000km but goes like any b16a should. Planning on doing moderate mods but as its my intention of being a daily.. i dont wanna go overboard at the moment.
I went to insure it the other day and when they asked for the year, i didnt know. All it says is the year it was imported to Australia (1998).
Ive looked all over the car including the yellow and blue compliance plates.
I looked around on threads and other forums and some people had posted VIN decodes. I tried this on mine but it seems to be different. ie, starts off with numbers then MPORT. so it didnt match up with any of the decodes.
Would be great if anyone could help me out as ive rang Honda Australia, Licensing centres, and the previous owner.
Thanks again.

Easiest way to figure it out is to look at the front corner signals.
If they are of a rectangular shape, you have: 90-91
If they are of a rectangular and somewhat round on the outside you have: 92-93

couple areas to look are............
brake booster hose. it has the production date printed on there. could be hard to see but should be something like this
4/91
month and year.. or else if the engine is original then it is stamped on the head above the exh.manifold.
other details,
early 89-90 integra xsi didnt have rear shoulder belts. only lap belts.
late 90-92 has rear shoulder belts.
and notice the bumpers.

jdm late 89 - early 91

jdm late 91 - early 92
hope this kind of helps.
