Default A simple tune up and it wont run!!!

Ok i have a 00 coupe ex 5 speed i just replaced the d16y8 from a doner in the junkyard and i now have a p1337 CKP2 code i know thats the crank speed sensor but my question is i replaced my fule filter and sparkplugs becouse the car felt slugish posibly caused from the code but now i have lost spark what could have happend i checked all plugs and wires around the area for breaks or damage the lower plug for the vtec solinoid has a crack but would that or the code cause my spark problem thanks...

Ok i had some time earlyer to mess with it and i have power to the distributer but not past that the i started to test the internals of it and im thinken its the icm but how do you test that? I have a 97 dizzy that i can swap parts off im hoping that the parts swap..
And come on people 57 views and nothing to say.

Ok i found some info on it and i replaced the ICM with one i had and it still dosnt work is there anything that would stop spark evan though i have power to the distributer?

Wires in the correct order? Check if the plug wires are fully seated?

Yes i have checked all of that all the plugs a connected and pushed in and correct order.
should i buy a new dizzy i just dont want to do that and it not fix the problem.

Re-check fuel filter, check for any blockage.

check the coil? I have had 2 civics die on me and both times they have been the coil. its like $22 on ebay.

just make sure all the connectors are in the correct spots from when you swapped it. also replace the crank sensor. if it cant send the signal it wont run properly or not at all

ok i know that but would that make it lose the spark suddnely i have had the code for like a week or 2 and its got fule pressure its just lost the spark. I checked the coil and i swaped the ICM and it didnt work my Votec teachers telling me to just buy a whole new dizzy i just dont wana waste money on it and not fix my problem the wires are correct

Resistance test the coil -- see the FAQs sticky.

Did you just forget to connect the CKF sensor connector?

no im positive i contected it but it could have wiggled louse ill check and i did the resistance test its good but i just found somethen i have a 2000 car and im using a 97 engine the computers i know are difrent now obd2a and obd2b now would this have any part of my problem and the thing that confuses me it drove great for a week or 2...
