Default '93 Honda Prelude Acceleration Problem

Okay, so let me start off by explaining what I've got. Nothing special but it USED to get me around.

1993 Honda Prelude
F22a1 engine
Automatic Transmission

What's happening is that when I go to take off, it's like maybe it's not catching. You can hear a grinding noise from the front of the car while trying to accelerate but it goes away if you don't have your foot on the gas. It'll get up and go after a couple seconds, but trying to go up hills, or having to slow down without changing gears is a hassle as it seems to lack the power to do it like it used to. I've changed both CV Axles, thinking that might have been the problem. Needed done anyway but it didn't solve the problem. I'm kind-of at a loss here and was hoping for some advice. Thanks.

Possibly a bad torque conveter and clogged filter but you will need to get it to a transmission shop for a road test to be sure.
