Icon2 1989 CRX carberated???

Can anyone tell me why my 1989 CRX is carberated? I read nothing about the 89's being carberated and now i'm wondering how this is even possible? I thought anything after the 87 was fuel injected?

Sounds like someone swapped a carbed motor at some point in its life... why, is beyond me.

EDIT: Can you post pics? I'm curious to see what it looks like, lol.

You sure it's a carburetor (that's how you spell it)?
D15B2 is a Dual Point Fuel Injection - 2 injectors mounted in a throttle body similar to a carburetor, but computer controlled injectors and not jets.
Honda's Multi Point Fuel Injection is the 4 injector system that has 1 injector per cylinder mounted in the intake manifold spraying at the intake port on the cylinder head.

DPFI looks like this - Not my car and not my pic -

It looks exactly like that!!! I took off that carb cover and it's (what looks like) a carburetor? Am i just oblivious? Is this Dual Point injection like, a mix between carb and fuel injection? :/ SUPER N3WB

It is what it is, dual point fuel injection. There were carb models, but unless it's imported Americans didn't receive them.

This is the DPFI throttle body (found the pic on the internet)

They have removed the both parts of the top cover.
On the front of the throttle body you can see two holes - these are where the injectors get mounted.
It works very similarly to a carburetor. One injector handles all the fuel for idle and low speed and low engine load. The secondary injector comes on when extra fuel is needed under heavy engine load- just like secondary jets in a carb.

The DPFI looks like a carb but with two injectors in front and a throttle position sensor on the drivers side of throttle body.
