Just bought a 1991 DA that needs a lot of work, its basically just a learning project for me.

I noticed the Speedometer and the Odometer don't work, but everything else does. Is it possible that the previous owner just unhooked them to prevent miles adding up? Is that pretty common to do? Would it be hard to hook them back up? Any help would be awesome, thanks!

 

your speedo cable is broken, most likely due to excessive force upon removal of the cluster at one point in time. this is very common

 

is the cable replaceable? how should I go about fixing this? any write ups?
