SOLD AND GONE AND SOLD AND GONE AND SOLD AND GONE
I know...i never dreamed this day would come, but i'm forced to aknowledge that life is changing and with that comes responsibility and making decisions that i previously may have said i never would. With that being said...this is NOT a joke.
The quick history of this car is as follows:
- (2) Owners (I am the second)
- Original adult owner had the car for 7 years in Atlanta, GA.
- The car has NEVER seen snow, salt, or harsh weather
- I can count the number of times it has seen rain on one hand
- NEVER involved in any type of collision or incident
- Every panel on the car is original paint and has original VIN
- The car was purchased by myself in April of 2005 with 39K miles
- The car currently has 64,317 miles
- It has been stored in a controlled temperature environment it's entire life
- Religious oil changes and maintenance have been done to the car
- As of 4/6/2011 the Timing Belt and Water Pump have been replaced
- The car does NOT burn oil.
The pictures shown do NOT reflect the current status of the car, but until i have the appropriate weather to obtain new photos these will have to do. The car is essentially bone stock again with a few minor modifications that i did not want to change. The only current mods on the car are as follows:
- OEM TSX HID retrofit (Headlights are stock OEM housing) done by Customlightz
- ATS 4.9 Final Drive (less than 3k miles ago) professionally installed by IMW
- Exedy Clutch and Lightened Flywheel Combo (less than 3k miles ago) IMW
- All synchros were replaced at the time of trans work as well
- Sackley Special Baffled Oil Pan
- OEM UKDM Pedals
- OEM JDM 4-1 Header painted black with high temp paint (lower heatshield included)
The car will come with absolutely mint USDM wheels wrapped in brand new OEM Bridgestone RE010s as seen in the pictures. The car is 100% rust free everywhere. You could eat off the undercarriage of this car. It is 100% dent free.
I've often been asked "when did you get the front bumper re-painted?". NO, i've never had the bumper re-painted. YES, it is that clean.
A OEM bra was used on every single road trip that the car has ever seen. I've also washed and waxed the car both before and after every trip the car has made. While this may seem obsessive, you'll understand my madness should you come see the condition of the car in person.
I am not forced to sell this car for financial reasons, therefore i will not aknowledge offers of anything but what i want for the car. I'll sit on it for the next two years before i accept a penny less than what i want for it.
I have the original window sticker as well as the owner's manual in excellent condition with everything in it that came from the dealer. I have all 3 original keys as well.
My asking price is $15,900 FIRM! This car is a gem, and i'll continue to call it mine until someone who appreciates the care this car has been shown would like to offer me what i'm asking. I will let the pics speak for themselves.

so i looked over the post a few times and i see it says it will come stock, so my best guess it will not come with the spoon breaks, mugen intake, looks like jdm steering wheel, and maybe susp (looks lowered)....? eather way this has to be the cleanest R i seen on here for sale... and a bump for a fellow typeR owner
I have stated this multiple times. lol
Jon is a truly phenomenal friend and client of ours at Innovative MotorWorks and I have felt very privileged to have been able to do some of the work to this piece of machinery for him. I personally just replaced the timing belt and waterpump with new OEM units (as mentioned in the OP), in addition to having changed out the transmission and reinstalled it with the 4.923 ATS final drive, new synchros (1-2 are brass, 3-5 are carbon), new input shaft bearing, new c-clip countershaft bearing, etc. back in 2008. You may be familiar with me from the Transmission Forum here, and of the 80+ transmissions I've done work to, this was one of the best condition ones I had seen inside and out. Jon will know for sure, but since the transmission work, the trans and its new parts have seen a total of 2,000-5,000 miles.
Just to show you how meticulous and caring Jon is with this car, I'll give you one example of something we ran into with the transmission actually. The synchros were originally Gearspeed pieces, and David Henson began Synchrotech to take over for that business. Well, the trans began to grind 3rd and 4th gears with the new carbon synchros, and before any substantial damage could be done, we pulled the trans to figure out the issue. The carbon itself had worn through prematurely, and Dave @ Synchrotech took care of us, suggesting it was more than likely a bad batch of carbon synchros - they use a different method for the application of the carbon lining now, so don't worry!!! The short time the synchros had led to grinding didn't damage any of he gears' engagement teeth at all, but did rough up the teeth of the 3/4 synchro sleeve some. Without taking a chance, Jon replaced the 3/4 hub and sleeve with no further question just to make sure it was new.
Additionally, I've also had the oil pan and valve cover off. The oil pan was off to install an oil pan with a more effective baffle plate than the OEM piece. The engine inside is absolutely clean. I couldn't believe how clean it had been in comparison to everything else I work on. The same cleanliness was evident under the valve cover, where I made minor adjustments to the valve lash when I had done the timing belt. In doing so, I only had to adjust 6 or 7 valve tapets (mostly intake) .001" - .002" for each.
He's also allowed us to drive it on occasion, and oh... the braking this car is capable of.
As I've said, everything with this car is in fantastic shape and condition. And the seller is a very honest and legitimate man. Anyone who purchases this will have a great experience buying and becoming a very proud owner of an R.

^^^Just to touch on the synchro issue - The original synchros were the Gearspeed carbon/moly coated synchros. We replaced them with the new Synchrotech full carbon lined synchros.
BTW - This is a beautiful car!
