Default How to identify a Type-S Trans and Head

Sorry I did a search, but nothing came up. Anway I'm buying a an RSX Type-S sawp tomorrow and being a B18C5 guy i'm new to the K-series. So I need to know what to look for on the Trans and head to make sure its a type-S. I know the block will have the "K20A2" stamp. Any help would be great.

Thanks

a type-s transmission will have 6 gears

Been so long since I had my type-s I don't remember the marks on the head. If anything take the oil cap off and look at the cams. You'll notice true vtec cams vs base cams. Or ask to take off the whole valve cover if worried.

I just found out the Trans will have "X2M5" then the serial number to mark it as a "A2" 6-speed Trans.

I still need to know the stamps on the head, but I will check the cams.
