Hi guys, I just bought the car and well i'm fixing all little problems little by little, I changed oil like 2500 miles ago and it leaked/burned nearly a full quart, what I found was fresh oil in this area:



Any suggestion on which seals I need to replace to stop the leaking? BTW it's a 99 EM1

cam seal, extremely common on hondas, it's the black round plug behind your vtec solenoid

 

cam seals could be bad, headgasket? im not 100% sure if their is another seal by your distrib, or vtec solenoid, but id guess cam seals, mine leaks there too.

 

its leaking from above the headgastket in that picture. Unless gravity isnt working right under the hood of his car. OP it could also be leaking from your vtec solenoid gasket but your cam seal is 100% leaking.

 

deff cam seal, super easy fix and would take maybe a hour.

companies like skunk2, blox, pwjdm all make replacement cam seals. they're supposed to be better than stock because they use 3 rubber o-rings to seal.
